Hume: Of Miracles

Paragraph 12: "Nothing is esteemed a miracle, if it ever happen in the common course of nature."

I agree with Hume when he says this. A miracle is something that happens not in the natural course of nature. A miracle is an effect or extraordinary event in the physical world that surpasses all known human or natural powers and is ascribed to a supernatural cause. I do believe in miracles personally. I think that miracles can be simply a mental/psychological thing alone, but for those with religious views it can become a spiritual things too.

I highly agree with your entire blog. I feel the same way about miracles. Never have I witnessed one or has any of my friends or family. I want to believe in miracles and that would be amazing if they did exist but I feel like they just dont. I also agree with your idea that miracles can be mental/psychological process because people believe in miracles they may feel that an event that was lead up to could become a miracle just because they never thought that would happen to them. When in reality, if you look at the past events that took place it is very probable for that to happen.

i also agree with your post. I also believe in miracles. Even though I personally never experienced a miracle I know people who have experienced something like this. I believe that miracles are something that you never thought would/could happen and it is not very probable to happen even if you look at events that took place. It is something that shouldn't happen but did happen.

I feel that miracles are almost a way some people can get by. Especially considering people who are less fortunate. Your right, miracles are not/should not be a common thing and I agree 100% with Hume on this
